Jason St. Claire is the Director of the Women's Chorus at Grace University, Director of Education and Outreach for the Archdiocesan Children's Choir in Omaha, Nebraska, and the K-8 Music Specialist at Assumption Guadalupe Catholic School.
Jason is also a staff member of the St. Cecilia Institute for Sacred Liturgy, Music and the Arts as a private voice instructor and member of St. Cecilia Cathedral's Schola Ceciliana, an auditioned group of professional musicians which lead the St. Cecilia Cathedral Choir and parish in worship at Sunday mass.
Jason also is a sought after tenor for choirs and solo events around the U.S. Recently, he performed in Boise, Idaho with the choral ensemble Critical Mass, under the direction of Dr. Bruce Browne and Dr. Christopher Raynes. Jason also performs frequently for weddings, funerals, solo recitals, and operates his own voice studio.
A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Jason received his undergraduate training in choral conducting and music education under Dr. Gregory Gentry at Arizona State University. In 2011, Jason graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with his Master of Music, studying conducting, choral rehearsal techniques, and vocal pedagogy with Dr. Matthew C. Harden.
Having recently lost 70 pounds, Jason is a huge advocate for physical fitness among his students and is presently developing workshops which focus on the healthy singer.
Jason is an active member of the National Association for Music Education, the American Choral Directors Association, and the National Association for Teachers of Singing.
